ONE TO SOUND - Sound Healing & Cacao

Join Sabrina Gricourt in a guided journey into the healing properties of sound and the medicinal plant Cacao. This combination supports states of deep relaxation, where stress release and healing can occur. Experience a soothing yet powerful expansion for the mind and body.

With the medicinal plant Cacao, we’ll ground and connect to the heart, and Muladhara (the root chakra). With the Pranayama and Meditation, we’ll consciously create different energy flow using the breath to get in touch with our Prana - the vital energy. These ancient tools invite us to insight our blockages, inviting the new breath to clear and let go of what has kept us bound. With the medicine of sacred sounds, we’ll return to our body, our senses, our own rhythms, and intuitive knowing to become more fully embodied.

_ Meditation is a process of purifying the mind and making it one-pointed, inward, and tranquil. Through the method of meditation, the mind will help you to fathom the deeper levels of your being and lead you to the highest state of realization.

_ Pranayama means the ability to expand or stretch our life force (prana) by controlling the breath. ... Pranayama is the fourth of the eight limbs of yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) as defined by Sage Patanjali. It provides a vital bridge between the body and the mind.

_ Sound can help facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by entrainment; synchronizing fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency to which the brainwave can attune. By using particular combinations of rhythms and frequencies, it is possible to shift our normal beta state (alert, concentrating, reacting) to alpha (creative, relaxed), and even theta (meditative state) and delta (deep sleep; where restoring and healing can occur). Using sound as therapy can provide results for a variety of issues including: sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, stress management, PTSD, pain management.

How do these singing bowls affect our bodies so profoundly? Every part of our body, down to our cellular level, are crystalline in structure. This allows them to respond and resonate with the frequencies produced by the crystal singing bowls. Sound baths also act as a therapeutic gateway to your subconscious mind by allowing you to achieve and stimulate the Alpha and Theta brainwaves which are most commonly present during hypnosis, REM sleep, and deep meditation. Time is suspended as you enter a world of vibration, sensation, and experience. Physical injuries can be healed and old emotional traumas are released. You will feel nourished, alive, and vibrant after each session.

Cacao, “Food of the Gods”, is a medicinal plant which has been used in rituals and ceremonies for thousands of years since the ancient Meso-Americans. It contains the neurotransmitters, serotonin, tryptophan, and dopamine, also phenethylamine, flavonoids, and antioxidants. Its nutrients such as iron, calcium and potassium and many vitamins. Cacao is also the highest natural source of magnesium. This empowers cacao to relieve your stress, fears, and anxiety. It helps you focus, raises your levels of creativity, boosts your potential for happiness and enhances self-love.

We like to open a space to every mind, especially the curious one who wants to have a better glance about the power of Sounds, the medicinal plant Cacao and ancient spiritual techniques from India. It is dear to us to create a space with a fondness for art and coziness. We want you to surrender in a comfortable and safe place in order to tap into yourself naturally and find a community where you feel supported, have fun and spend a memorable time.

In our space values and morals are shared, challenged and respected for what they are. We embrace and support the sense of love, unity, and openness in a truthful and intimate manner.

We really recommend wearing comfortable, non-restrictive clothing during your Soundbath experience, similar to work-out wear or pajamas. Enjoy your cosmic nap barefoot or in socks, but please remove your shoes. It is also best to remove all metal and electronics from your body and clothing pockets during the performance.

For a comfortable journey please bring your own yoga mat or self-inflatable camp mat, a light blanket or pashmina scarf in case you get cold, and a soft eye mask or eye pillow to block out any light source from the space.

About the teacher:

Sabrina Gricourt is a certified Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga teacher, Sound healer and Abhyanga Marma massage practitioner. Sabrina has developed her sound healing work over the last seven years. Her work is an exploration of sonic language-linking both aesthetic, memory and healing aspects. Her work has been developed through years of experience including immediate contact with native tribes in South America, Indian masters and researchers on psychology and neurology. Sabrina has offered her healing to a large and varied audience throughout Germany and Asia. The sonic sessions she leads range from individual to groups and are often accompanied by medicinal cacao plant medicine, acoustic healing instruments, and electronic sounds. When used together, all are simultaneously tapping into different rhythms, tones, and intervals, reflecting their different therapeutic effects based on that very moment. Based on the particular needs of her audience at that time. This creates and opens a space where each individual bathes in vibrations appropriate to his or her needs, permitting a connection to the now.
